Shirley Lions recently held their annual New Year party for the elderly at the Shirley Community Association. 150 elderly Shirley residents enjoyed a fish and chips lunch followed by entertainment from Gabriela the Ukele lady, a couple of games of Bingo and then a karaoke sing-a-long.
Thanks go to the Lions partners plus ex Shirley Lions (now Shrewsbury Lions) Brian and Barbara Branch for all their help.
We also received a visit from Bilston and Willenhall Lions who were on a fact finding visit in preparation for running a similar party.
