Lions to roar down the River Avon

 

Wellesbourne and Shakespeare Lions have selected Dogs for the Disabled as the main charity recipient for this year’s Raft Race to be held on Sunday 23rd June.

Shakespeare Lions President John Jacobs said “Mark the date in your diary and come to the Stratford upon Avon Recreation Ground Finish Field and see all the excitement of the finishers as well as seeing demonstrations given by The Dogs for the Disabled team of the tremendous skills that their dogs acquire in order to help make life more easy to live for their handpicked disabled partners”.  


 

Wellesbourne Lion Jayne Turvey pictured here “paddling” with one of The Dogs for the Disabled Raft Race Teams along with Zander the Labrador who is soon to be fully trained & ready to join her selected disabled patient said “Zander could work with her client for as long as ten years helping with his or her everyday needs.”
