Coventry Walkathon 2013

Coventry Walkathon 2013

The Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind in Earlsdon Avenue South raised £2000 at the Coventry Walkathon 2011, £1688 in 2012 and will be looking forward to another enjoyable day of fundraising on 12th May 2013.

Rose Brady one of the two founders of the charity said “It is a great way to raise funds to support the Centre, which is a local charity run entirely by volunteers. Amongst the numerous services provided for visually impaired people, the centre runs a Monday Friendship group, computer sessions, a Thursday luncheon club and a music group. A counselling group for visually impaired people and their carers is also available. Like most charitable organisations we need funds to stay in existence and the Coventry Leofric Lions Club is doing a great job in staging their annual walk which provides an opportunity for all charities to rally their supporters and collect sponsorship for their efforts”.

If you would like to walk for the Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind or would like further information please ring Rosie or Trish on 024 76717522.
