Looking to the future in Solihull

Solihull Lions recently donated £1,300 to Reynalds Cross School which is a school for pupils aged 2 ½ - 19 years with severe and profound learning difficulties.

The donation enabled the school to complete the purchase of a Tobii Eye Gaze. It has given Reynalds Cross School pupils a revolutionary new form of pupil-computer interaction. Eye Gaze creates an easy and intuitive interface that uses pupils’ natural eye movements to offer learning opportunities in exploring cause and effect, learning to target, track and dwell and developing control and accuracy.

Lion President Ken Bate said that it’s all really very simple. “Before interacting with something, you look at it and before pointing with your finger, you point with your eyes! The Eye Gaze will transform the way pupils use computers to communicate, play and work.”
