Corby & District Lions Club recently handed over a cheque for £500 to the Corby Radio Academy.
The Academy at Corby Radio blends practical training with lectures and work experience that culminate in creating great local shows for broadcast on Corby Radio.
Corby Radio moved into its current purpose built studios above Iceland in Corporation Street, Corby, in August 2012 where it has three broadcast studios as well as a dedicated news room. As part of its commitment to youth and the local community, the Academy at Corby Radio (housed in the same premises) provides training and development for the next generation of local broadcasters.
To demonstrate its commitment to community organizations in the Corby area, Corby & District Lions Club supports the Academy at Corby Radio and has contributed some £1000 to help keep it running.
