Aldridge Welcome Signs 

It is quite active in the area and through the Council it organises such events as the continental markets, Christmas fairs, etc. As Lions we take an active part in these. Aldridge is also a contender in the Britain in Bloom campaign and last year, the first year of entering, did achieve an award.

Earlier this year it was considered to have "Welcome to Aldridge" signs erected on three routes into the village. These would be sponsored by various businesses. I asked if Lions could be included in these signs and we negotiated a good deal for being included on all three signs. This idea went ahead and pictures of these are attached.

It is normal for Lions groups to be seen on signs when entering towns and villages on the continent but it is not seen here in the UK (I know of no areas where this has happened).
