On Monday 10th October the “Resource Centre for the Blind” in Coventry hosted a lunch time reception to thank the various organisations and individuals that have helped them through their first 18 months. The centre is a “port of call” for the visually challenged citizens of Coventry and Warwickshire and provides help, advice, training and a meeting place for those in need. During the reception, Coventry Leofric President, Peter Broughton presented a cheque for £2,000 to the centre. The club have pledged to continue their support for the next two years and look forward to helping them achieve their goals. It was great to see District Governor Neil and his wife Beryl giving their support to the event. They enjoyed meeting Rose and Trish, the organisers and getting a feel for the work of the centre.
