Get Ready for the Heart of England Bike Ride

'Hearty' the British Heart Foundation Mascot

On Sunday 8th July Knowle and Dorridge Lions offer everyone the chance to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation Mending Broken Hearts Appeal at their Heart of England Bike Ride. A family bike ride through the glorious Warwickshire countryside ‘With a choice 3 different routes of 13, 19 or 32 miles there's something for everyone’ says organising Lion Dave Carter. ‘Why not choose your challenge and register today?’

‘Starting and finishing at the stunning Baddesley Clinton National Trust property, on the Solihull/Warwickshire border, with free entry to the house and gardens and a Lions BBQ after the ride, its a great day out for all the family!’

‘The Mending Broken Hearts research programme is one of the biggest ever undertaken by the BHF’, says Donna Stokes from BHF. ‘The inspiration for the programme starts with the tiny zebra fish which has an amazing ability to heal its own heart if it gets damaged - something the human heart can't do yet. The BHF believes that in as little as 15-20 years time we can develop a treatment to repair damaged heart muscle, giving heart patients real hope for the future. But we can't do that without your help, so please sign up for the Heart of England Bike Ride and raise as much sponsorship as you can to help us give heart patients a better future’
Encourage all your friends, family and colleagues to come along for what promises to be a great day. Enter online via www.knowleanddorridgelions.com/ride or call 08458 33 58 94 and help us beat heart disease together.

‘We look forward to seeing you there!’ says Hearty the BHF mascot.
