Wellesbourne & District Lions Club New President

Wellesbourne & District Lions Club new President, Lion Dave Brown is welcomed to his new role by past President, Max Down, at the recent Handover Night ceremony at Hampton Lucy.

President Dave was soon thrust into Lions fundraising activities with a Barn Dance in aid of the Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy held on July 31st at Ettington Community Centre. The Jennifer Trust, (for more details see www.jtsma.org.uk) which is based in Stratford upon Avon, offers national support to children affected with this genetic condition and their families will be the Lions Partner’s nominated charity for the forthcoming year headed up by Heather.

A full compliment of Lions and partners were on hand to acclaim the “new”, well almost, team of Club officers for the year, as President Dave outlined his vision for the Club over the next few months.
