Kingswinford & Stourbridge Lions Sell Burgers to McDonald’s!

On 11th & 12th July, Kingswinford & Stourbridge Lions took their catering team to a 5-a-side football tournament at Stourbridge Rugby Club, organised by Oldswinford Youth FC.

The event was sponsored on the Saturday by McDonalds, who sent their Community Events team, but no burgers! We were able to provide the McDonalds’ staff with food and drink and raised £150 from them in this way.

McDonalds invited celebrities to the event including Sir Geoff Hurst, pictured with Lions Arthur, Lesley and Gail, and Ron Atkinson, pictured with Lions Rob and Arthur (again!)

When we attend a community day such as this, we donate half our proceeds to the community organisation which books us. The remaining funds are donated by K&S Lions to other local worthy causes and our chosen charities.
