"Magic and Mayhem" 

Wellesbourne & District lions hosted a "Magic and Mayhem Show" featuring local magician and comedian, Mel Harvey.

The show took place at Kineton Village Hall on Saturday 23rd October and was in aid of Shakespeare Hospice in Stratford Upon Avon. Over 80 people were treated to a fantastic show which included a hot supper provided by Lions and Lions partners.

Over £1,600 was taken in the evening which should result in well over £1,000 being donated to the charity. This included £325 raised from a charity auction for three lots including a Merlin puppet kindly donated by Mel Harvey.

The event was a wonderful demonstration of Lion's and partners working with tremendous team spirit to reap the rewards the event deserved. A great deal of effort went into prior promotion of the event including a photo call with local press, where president Terry Offiler was "Sawn in half"!!! by magician Mel.
