The Tale of Albert the Lion 

Lion Ballett asked Club Members to cast their minds back to the Christmas Party, particularly remembering said Lion scrabbling around the floor looking for two golf balls from Secret Santa when, unknowingly, he only had one missing!! Then minds were cast forward to January, when, surveying his vast wine cellar, Lion Ballett discovered one bottle of a, judging by the label, fine New Zealand white wine which he did not know from whence it came but decided to keep for a special occasion.

March, wedding anniversary, wine cellar vastly depleted of reds but still this one fine New Zealand white – will keep for a special occasion (!) and celebrate instead with a holiday.

Royal Wedding – special occasion, fine New Zealand white still there, chill wine, open wine, toast to Royal Couple, complaints from Jean, fine New Zealand wine tastes horrible. Lion Ballett swills around palette – the wine has changed to water!!!!

Cast minds back to the Christmas Party – Lion “Sherlock” Ballett now remembers winning a bottle of fine New Zealand white wine. Coincidence or is Lion Ballett right to be suspicious? The truth is out there. Someone knows the answer – and Lion Ballett will not rest until he knows. Spill the beans, or wine, or water, before it’s the lapel pin under the fingernails.
