Southam Lions Annual Senior Citizens Party

160 senior citizens from Southam and surrounding districts, were entertained at Southam College on the 27th September in celebration of the 37th annual Senior Citizens party.

The Senior citizens were entertained by an accordion band, and were thoroughly enjoying themselves, singing and foot-tapping to some well known songs from the distant past.

Lion Tony Lorimer said “It was really great seeing so many of our senior citizens enjoying themselves singing along with entertainer - Paul Gorton. Many of them came up to me at the finish and said how much they had enjoyed themselves. This is what makes it all worthwhile and why I enjoy so much being part of the Lions set up in Southam”.

Tea was prepared by the Lions Partners and the Lions are truly grateful to the many local organisations who provided so much of the food and particularly the St. John Ambulance personnel for all their help.
