Coventry Phoenix Lions – Ordinary People doing Amazing Things

Coventry Phoenix Lions have recently celebrated their last two years of success with a Charter Lunch, which was held at Brandon Hall.

They were joined by Neil Chisholm (District Governor 2011-12), who stood between the Lions, Jim Reah (President) and Alistair Hall (Vice President), who were preparing for the handover of the chain of Presidency.

Coventry Phoenix Lions reformed in August 2009, when Jim Reah became President. In the last two years they have raised funds for local and national organisations by holding bucket collections, marshalled in the fun run and walkathon and been involved in fetes and festivals, Jim chose The Tiny Tim’s Children’s Centre for his main Local Charity. Tiny Tim’s provides therapies for children with disabilities and special needs.

Alistair Hall is now President of Coventry Phoenix Lions and has chosen Mercia M.S. Therapy Centre for his local charity. The charity provides therapy for people with Multiple Sclerosis and other conditions including those recovering from a stroke, children with Cerebral Palsy, Autism and many more conditions.

Fund raising will also continue for other Local Charities.

Coventry Phoenix Lions meets at Green Lane Ex-Services Club, Leasowes Avenue, Coventry CV3 6BH on the 2nd Wednesday of each month for planning events and on the 4th Wednesday of each month for social events. Visiting Lions are always welcome.
