After a Worcester Lions in the Community Day on Sunday August Bank Holiday, supported by Malvern Lions, it was off on a Lions Social Event on the Monday. A trip on the River Seven with buffet and at the end Fireworks celebrating the end of Worcester Festival was enjoyed by all on board - even with the rain! Numerous Lions Clubs supported the event with members from Kidderminster, Kingswinford and Stourbridge, Malvern Hills, Marston Green, Sheldon, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Birmingham China Town and Wolverhampton on board
With two events undertaken at the Bank Holiday, Worcester Lions were out a week later supporting the Joanna Brown Trust Fire walk at Top Barn Activity Centre. Having a bottle stall, tombola and selling books Worcester Lions helped take away some of the concern of walking on fire. A good time was had by all.
