Planting for Generations to come!

Planting for Generations to come!

On Saturday 24th November Shakespeare Lions reached their tree planting target. 103 more trees were planted at the Tramway Inn with the help of pupils from Stratford Primary school and the work was completed just before the rain started to fall.

The programme created the opportunity for different organisations to work together for the good of the community. Throughout the year the Town Trust, Welcome Hills School, Stratford Primary School, Cubs and Brownies all contributed support for the tree planting scheme. Apart from the opportunity for Lions to get some much needed exercise, the young people added to their skills by learning about our environment and how to plant trees. The results speak for themselves

600 trees were planted on the Welome Hills
210 trees were planted at the Tramway Inn Shipston Road

Generations to come will now be able to appreciate these trees as they reach maturity.
