Ordinary People doing Amazing Things

Spring Cleaning in October

Marston Green & District Lions Club recently held another litter pick around the village. We were contacted by some residents from Digby Drive who asked if we could clean up around the path by the railway bridge in Elmdon Lane and the back of Digby Drive. This was duly tackled by some of the group, the rest split up to cover as much of Marston Green as possible. We were joined by 2 volunteers, Bonnie Williams and Vic Holdsworth, who regularly pick up rubbish around the village, and we would like to thank them for helping us. We also received thanks and praise for our efforts from local residents and even had an offer of drinks from one kind lady!

As you can see from the photos, a substantial amount of rubbish was collected and at the moment Marston Green is a much cleaner and tidier place to live in!
