Towcester Lions support Air Ambulance 

Two members of Towcester and District Lions travelled to the Air Base of Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance today to hand over a donation of £252 from collections made in December 2011 in Towcester.

The helicopter was busy attending a serious accident to the west of the operational area, so it was not possible to meet the aircrew or all members of the paramedic team. However, the visitors were made welcome and shown how the service operates, the area covered and the response times (approx 9 minutes flying time to Towcester).

The visitors were made aware of the continuing need for funds to keep the service in operation. The people of Towcester and District were thanked for their support.
