WALKERS VEHICLE 

The Coventry Telegraph Walkathon which will take place on the Sunday 13 May at The War Memorial Park as proven over the 16 years its been running a marvelous event for raising money.

It as now raised a staggering £183104.58 for local charities and good causes due to the efforts of the Coventry walkers supporting the Coventry Leofric Lions Club the organiser.

Its thanks to our Sponsor Coventry Telegraph, Coventry Council, Touch FM and Coventry Building Society that ALL the MONEY RAISED goes to your pledged charity.

What's the advantages of taking part ? It gives you the opportunity to get as many people to walk a safe,well marked course .Sponsor Forms are supplied and adequate marshals and first aid will be on hand. your biggest job will be to collect the sponsor money knowing all the money raised goes to your charity or good cause.

If you do not have a charity in mind but enjoy walking and fundraising the Coventry Leofric Lions Clubs for 2011 have nominated the British Heart Foundation. So why not walk for them? They will welcome your support. They raised £2694.50 from the 2011 event and are looking to raising more this year.

The 1.75 mile perimeter of the park will serve as a lap of the walk and each walker can decide how many laps they would like to attempt.

There is a fancy dress competition which will be judged by the Lord Mayor and the Coventry Lions president giving you a chance to swell your sponsor money by £100 and the are other minor prizes.
