Sandwell Lions were pleased to be able to present Lion Pauline Hoogerwerf with a cheque for £1000 last night (Tuesday 5th June) which will be used to help the renovation of the Lion's water wells in Niger.

The money was raised through marshalling the Free Radio Walkathon on the 15th May. Sandwell Lions were really grateful for the support they received from family and friends and members of other clubs to cover their marshal points. The success of the walk was celebrated last night with a fish and chip supper and a presentation from Lion Pauline on the water wells.
